Location: Brunel University London, Uxbridge Campus
Salary: Grade 6 from£34,145 to £35,990 inclusive of London Weighting with potential to progress to £38,638 per annum, inclusive of London Weighting, through sustained exceptional contribution
Hours: Full-time at 35 hours per week (the role will require occasional evening and weekend working year-round)
Contract Type: Permanent

The Conference Services department operates under the Facilities and Commercial Services directorate, which encompasses various campus support departments dedicated to enhancing the experience of students, staff, and visitors.
The Directorate of Commercial Services is seeking to appoint a Conference Coordinator Officer within the Conference Department.
Your main responsibilities will include selling, planning and organising all aspects of our internal and external customer’s event bookings, along with working closely with other departments within the University such as Chartwells (caterers), Residences and Sport. You will also be managing existing and new client’s budgets and raise invoices as well as promoting, planning and organising all aspects of our summer conference business to include residential Language Schools at Brunel University London.
The successful candidate must have previous experience in event management and coordination or similar, with a strong general education qualification or proven experience of working in an office environment delivering high quality customer service. In addition, it is essential you are computer literate and good database experience, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
You should have a high level of self-motivation and an ability to drive an excellent level of customer service with a can-do attitude. As this is a client facing role, a professional demeanour is always essential. The ability to meet or exceed targets, to manage and adhere to service level agreements and to work within the department’s policies and procedures is also required for the role.
