Salary: Grade 6 from: £34,145 to £38,638 inclusive of London Weighting with potential to progress to £40,757 per annum, inclusive of London Weighting, through sustained exceptional contribution (pro-rata if part-time).

Technical Services is seeking a highly skilled and self‑motivated Senior Technician to join our Design & Manufacturing technical team. This is a hands‑on role supporting our vibrant community of Design and Engineering students as they develop both aesthetic and functional models across a wide range of projects. The post is initially for two years, with the potential to become permanent.
In this Senior Technical role, you will play an integral part in delivering high‑quality, practical support across our design and manufacturing workshops. Working in close partnership with academic and technical colleagues, you will help motivate and inspire students at every level of study, guiding them in the safe, confident, and effective use of tools, machinery, materials, and manufacturing processes.
You will provide expert supervision and mentorship, whether working one‑to‑one or with small groups, ensuring that students can successfully interpret technical drawings and complete their manufacturing projects to a professional standard.
