Salary (Grade H5): £56,297 - £61,301 per annum including London Allowance

The College of Business, Arts and Social Sciences are seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer in the area of Business Intelligence to join the Brunel Business School. This is a key role, which supports existing and new programmes as well as advancing understanding in key areas such as business intelligence, data analytics, and digital marketing. Teaching duties will include contributing effectively to the MSc programmes in Business Intelligence and Digital Marketing as well as to the undergraduate, MBA, and PhD programmes.
The post holder will be hard working, who can make a significant contribution to the implementation of our research, teaching and learning strategy. Applicants with advanced research methods including, for instance, parametric and/or non-parametric data analytics that handles Big Data and/or applies Artificial Intelligence techniques, will be particularly welcomed.
The post holder will also be expected to participate in at least one of the College research centres, Entrepreneurship and Sustainability and Global Lives, or a University Research Institute.
The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience in teaching Business Analytics, Digital Marketing, Digital Innovation, Project Management or other related business subjects to a high standard, along with experience of planning research, preparing research proposals and negotiating contracts with little supervision. Experience in designing Business Intelligence related modules and programmes is desirable.
The successful candidate will hold a PhD in Management Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics or relevant areas, and have excellent inter-personal, presentation and communication skills. In addition, the successful candidate should have an active research profile in relevant areas including journal publications in 3-star and 4-star journals and preferably. The successful candidate should also have potential to lead programme management and development, dealing effectively with quality assurance and compliance processes. The ability to demonstrate effective and innovative teaching practices at undergraduate and postgraduate levels is also required for the role.
