The Additive Manufacturing and 4D Printing Research Group is looking to recruit a Research Fellow/Research Assistant in Additive Manufacturing Simulation and Modelling
Location: Brunel University London, Uxbridge Campus
Salary: Grade R1
Research Assistant: from £36,390 to £38,388 inclusive of London Weighting with potential to progress to £39,432 per annum inclusive of London Weighting through sustained exceptional contribution.
Research Fellow: from £40,507 to £43,929 inclusive of London Weighting with potential to progress to £47,671 per annum inclusive of London Weighting through sustained exceptional contribution.
Hours: Full-time

The Additive Manufacturing and 4D Printing Research Group is looking to recruit a Research Fellow / Research Assistant in Additive Manufacturing Simulation and Modelling. The post-holder is expected to contribute to activities including but not limited to:
- Organise training sessions, organising workshops and hackathons
- Design, develop and optimise computer aided design parts
- Undertake advanced FEA mechanical and thermal analysis combined with topological optimisation, generative design and Design for Manufacturing
- Perform Design of Experiments by simulation and Multiscale modelling
- Support project management activities such as report writing, documentation, facilitation of meetings, attending meetings (local and overseas)
The successful applicant is expected to have a high level of initiative and an ability to work both collaboratively and independently. The candidate is expected to be able to travel locally and nationally. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required and the ability to quickly adapt to a multinational environment is advantageous. The ideal candidate should have experience in creating training and teaching materials, and will need to be confident in the use of various CAD software packages (for example Solidworks, Fusion360, Ansys, etc.). Knowledge of Multi-Material Additive Manufacturing, is desirable, but not essential. Please refer to the post-description for the full post-profile.
