Research Assistant Salary: Grade R1 from £36,390 to £39,432 inclusive of London Weighting with potential to progress to £51,758 per annum inclusive of London Weighting through sustained exceptional contribution. 

Research Fellow Salary: Grade R1 from £40,507 to £47,671 inclusive of London Weighting with potential to progress to £51,758 per annum inclusive of London Weighting through sustained exceptional contribution.

Hours: Full-time

Contract Type: Fixed - Term (6 Months)

The primary focus of the work of the successful applicant will involve creating a new dynamic model for predicting future sustainability of a recently designed solar thermal technology. The individual will receive a dataset derived from an analysis of the environmental, economic and social aspects of the solar thermal system. The appointee will be expected to have a good knowledge in Python, COMSOL, MATLAB or equivalent. Understanding of solar thermal technologies and experience in Life Cycle Assessment will be considered as an advantage.

The successful candidate will hold either a BEng/MEng/MSc and a PhD in a relevant area in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or similar Engineering related disciplines.
