Salary for Research Assistant: Grade R1 from £36,640 to £38,638 per annum inclusive of London Weighting with potential to progress to £39,682 per annum inclusive of London Weighting through sustained exceptional contribution. (Pro-rata for Part-time) 

Salary for Research Fellow: Grade R1 from £40,757 to £44,179 per annum inclusive of London Weighting with potential to progress to £47,921 per annum inclusive of London Weighting through sustained exceptional contribution. (Pro-rata for Part-time) 

Hours: Full-time

The successful candidate will contribute to the EU/UK projects (with funding support from Innovate UK, EU, UKRI and Innovate UK), which aim to develop a privacy-enhanced 5G/6G-supported monocular markerless motion capture (gait assessment) system for healthcare/rehabilitation applications. It is expected that the application has the knowledge of: 1) deep learning, large AI models, large language models; 2) the rendering techniques for generating human body animations from 3D joint coordinates; 2) understanding wireless transmission (semantic communication) concept. The successful candidate will also need to visit our industrial partner in the UK and EU, to do collaborative research and experiment. Preference will be given to candidates with publications in leading AI/ML conferences, e.g., CVPR, NeurIPS, ICML.
