Salary: Grade 7 from: £40,757 - £44,179 inclusive of London Weighting with potential to progress to £47,921 per annum, inclusive of London Weighting, through sustained exceptional contribution (pro-rata if part-time).

Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, the Project Officer will ensure the timely delivery of high-quality experimental data and research outputs that contribute to the overall success of the project.

The role involves hands-on work in laboratory and pilot-scale environments, liaising with project partners, and maintaining project documentation and communication channels. The postholder will also help facilitate the delivery of project events, meetings, and publications, contributing to the visibility and impact of the College’s research agenda in renewable energy and sustainability. This is a part-time position suited to a proactive, detail-oriented individual with experience in experimental research, specifically in heat exchanger and heat pipe systems, and an interest in applied engineering research.

The successful applicant will join the Heat Pipe and Thermal Management Research Group, led by Professor Hussam Jouhara, to provide direct experimental support for the StreamStep EU project. Working closely with the academic team and European partners, the Project Officer will contribute to experimental testing and validation activities, ensuring that lab-based results are integrated into the project’s reporting, dissemination, and coordination efforts. The role will involve supporting the organization of project meetings, maintaining documentation, and ensuring alignment with both scientific and administrative objectives. The successful candidate will be directly responsible for conducting laboratory testing work packages, collaborating with other European project partners to ensure successful project delivery.
