We are seeking a Programme Development Manager to lead the strategic planning and delivery of key educational initiatives within Brunel Medical School. This pivotal role supports the development of Phases 2 and 3 of the MBBS curriculum, integration of the Physician Associate MSc programme, and preparation for GMC accreditation.
You will work closely with academic and professional services colleagues, external clinical partners, and senior stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of curriculum components, placements, and assessments. This role is ideal for someone with strong project management skills, stakeholder engagement experience, and a passion for shaping medical education.

Salary: Grade 7 from £40,757 to 47,921 inclusive of London Weighting, with potential to progress to £52,067 per annum through sustained exceptional contribution.

The Role

You will work closely with academic and professional services colleagues, external clinical partners, and senior stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of curriculum components, placements, and assessments. This role is ideal for someone with strong project management skills, stakeholder engagement experience, and a passion for shaping medical education.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and development of Years 3–5 of the MBBS programme, including teaching, assessment, placements, and resource requirements.
- Integrate MBBS and PA programmes to ensure a high-quality, efficient student experience.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external clinical partners to deliver curriculum components on time.
- Support onboarding and training of clinical educators and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with GMC accreditation and quality assurance standards, including the Medical Licensing Assessment (MLA).
- Manage resources in coordination with Business Operations and Finance.
- Line manage the Programme Development Officer to deliver shared service outcomes.
- Advise on other health-related programme initiatives across the university.
About You (You Will Have)
- A degree in a relevant subject or equivalent experience.
- MSP, PRINCE II, or SCRUM Master certification (desirable).
- Proven experience delivering large, complex projects in Higher Education or similar environments.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience in risk management, resource planning, and change management.
- Knowledge of project delivery methodologies and relevant legislation (e.g., GDPR).
- Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and people management skills.
