Brunel University London was established in 1966 and is a leading multidisciplinary research-intensive technology university delivering economic, social and cultural benefits.

Brunel’s research looks to real-world problems and is based on a strong desire to impact directly on societies’ major challenges. Global in our outlook, our mission ranges from close engagement with the communities around our West London home, and to many communities world-wide, reflecting our international connectiveness. As part of our strategy, we aim to further heighten the global impact of our social mission by strengthening the impact and application of our research for societal benefit.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Brunel’s Research Support and Development Office as a Post Award Officer specialising in European Commission and internationally funded grants. Reporting to the Head of Post Award and Impact, this is a key and varied role. You will be instrumental in providing a high quality, value added post award service that bridges the gap between pre award activity and the post award responsibilities placed on the academic community, which are supported by other professional service units.

Working closely with Principal Investigators (PIs) and those holding research grants, you will support and maintain funder and partner relationships throughout the delivery and reporting of research awards and contracts, in accordance with funder terms and conditions.

We are looking for a team-player with excellent communication and organisation skills. Ideally, the candidate will have experience of post award project management of research grants from European Commission or similar funders either from a project delivery perspective, a post award reporting role or experience of working at a funder. Willingness and able to travel within the UK and Europe if required.

We offer a generous annual leave package plus discretionary University closure days, excellent training and development opportunities as well as a great occupational pension scheme and a range of health-related support. The University is committed to a hybrid working approach.

Closing date for applications:  14 November 2025

Interviews will take place WC 8 December 2025
