Salary: Grade 5 from:  £29,150 to £33,013 inclusive of London Weighting with potential to progress to £32,296 per annum inclusive of London Weighting through sustained exceptional contribution. (Pro-rata if Part-time)

Brunel University London is a world-class university based in Uxbridge, West London.  The university established a new medical school in September 2022, with a starting cohort of 110 students. Brunel Medical School currently supports the 5-year undergraduate MBBS and 2-year postgraduate Physician Associate (PA) programmes.  The medical school is part of the College of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences, a leading provider of health professional education, including Physiotherapy, Nursing, Occupational Therapy and Psychology programmes. The role will cover provision of placements and associated administrative tasks related to both the MBBS and PA Programme.

You will be joining at an exciting time since this post was created to provide an increase in operational support to address the increase in placements opportunities for students on both the MBBS and PA programme. The post will support the Placement Partnerships Manager in all operational and administration activities required to deliver placement provision for the MBBS and PA programme. Maintain a secure and detailed database for new and existing Primary, Secondary, Community and Mental Health clinical placements, including storage of robust compliance files required for quality assurance purposes. Create and sustain excellent relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, ensuring they receive detailed and timely information on all aspects of the MBBS and PA clinical placement interventions.

This is an excellent opportunity for a suitably qualified administrative professional, preferably with experience in relationship, database, and finance processes. Ideally, the successful candidate will also possess:

  • Previous experience in an administrative services role, preferably in a medical school or other academic setting, with some knowledge of financial processes
  • Ability to co-ordinate and prioritise multiple activities effectively
  • Excellent communication skills to create and sustain excellent relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners
