Applications are invited for Medical Education Fellow positions at Brunel Medical School to start 11th August 2025. The post is for a period of one year, either as an out-of-programme experience or stand-alone experience. Full time is preferred but 0.8 FTE will be considered.
Location: Brunel University London, Uxbridge Campus
Salary: Grade 8 from: £45,390 to £58,263 inclusive of London Weighting with potential to progress to £65,236per annum inclusive of London Weighting through sustained exceptional contribution.
Hours: Full time (1 FTE) 35 hours or Part-time (0.8 FTE) 28 hours
Contract Type: Fixed-term 12 months
Applications are invited for Medical Education Fellow positions at Brunel Medical School, to start on 11th August 2025. These posts run for a university academic year, either as an out-of-programme experience or stand-alone experience.
These posts represent an exciting opportunity for health professionals to join the anatomy teaching team. You must have a keen interest in medical education and completed your Foundation Training (or equivalent) and normally be within 5 years of graduation. Doctors embarking on surgical training are particularly welcome to apply for these posts as the role will equip you with knowledge of anatomy which is critical for the surgeon.
Brunel Medical School provides education and training for both MBBS students (5-year undergraduate programme) and Physician Associate (PA) students (2-year MSc programme). Both programmes share a number of distinctive features, including team-based learning (TBL), clinical anatomy using a collection of plastinated human specimens, and clinical placements at leading GP practices and NHS Trusts in and around West London.
Successful applicants will be part of a team of staff who will contribute to various aspects of the Medical School’s programmes. Your responsibilities will be teaching anatomy to MBBS students and on other programmes/courses. Other areas of contribution may include clinical skills, communication skills, curriculum development, assessment and student selection. In-house training will be provided. Those wishing to undertake a postgraduate qualification in education will be encouraged to do so, and funding is available to support this.
Medical education fellow positions represent an excellent opportunity to be part of the growing Medical School team developing and delivering an innovative MBBS programme and helping to drive interprofessional initiatives at London’s newest Medical School. The experience gained will enhance your medical education portfolio.
You will be expected to work on the Brunel University Campus in Uxbridge, London.
