The Department of Economics, Finance and Accounting (EFA) at Brunel University London is a vibrant and research-active department within Brunel Business School, comprising 38 academic colleagues across the disciplines of accounting, finance and economics. The Department offers a diverse portfolio of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, including Accountancy, Accounting and Business Management, Accounting and Finance. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and collegial Lecturer (Education) in Accounting to join our vibrant academic community.
We are looking for a candidate with the ability to teach across a broad spectrum of accounting subjects, including financial accounting, management accounting, auditing and taxation. Expertise in emerging technologies and Artificial Intelligence applications in accounting and finance is particularly desirable, alongside specialist areas such as forensic accounting or sustainability accounting.
Location: Brunel University of London, Uxbridge Campus
Salary: Grade 8 from £45,390 to £58,263 inclusive of London Weighting with potential to progress to £65,236 per annum inclusive of London Weighting through sustained exceptional contribution.

Description of the Role

The successful candidate will deliver high-quality, research-informed, practice-oriented teaching and student support across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, with a strong emphasis on real-world applications and graduate employability. They will be expected to engage actively in curriculum development, innovative teaching and assessment practices, student engagement, and recruitment activities, while contributing positively to the collaborative culture of the Department.
