The Directorate of Estates is recruiting for an Infrastructure Operative to join the Operational maintenance team. As an Infrastructure Operative, you will carry out maintenance and repair to the estates Building Fabric and associated assets.

Salary: Grade 4 from: £27,408 to £28,241 per annum inclusive of London Weighting with potential to progress to £28,846 per annum inclusive of London Weighting through sustained exceptional contribution. (Pro-rata for Part-time)

The Directorate of Estates is recruiting for an Infrastructure Operative to join the Operational maintenance team. As an Infrastructure Operative, you will carry out maintenance and repair to the estates Building Fabric and associated assets.
The Directorate of Estates is responsible for the management of all Brunel's physical estate and provides a co-ordinated approach to developing, maintaining and adapting Brunel’s spaces to create an environment which supports the University mission. The primary duty of an Infrastructure Operative is to provide high quality maintenance services. The range of work you will undertake will include, but is not limited to:
- Basic Carpentry
- Basic Plumbing
- Basic Electrical
- Painting and decorating
- Tiling and plastering
- Reactive maintenance repairs to building fabric
- Maintenance to the Universities Residential, Academic and Research facilities
- Inspection and maintenance of fire doors
- Assisting non-skilled and skilled trades staff (when necessary)
You will be working as part of our operational maintenance team between the hours of 08:30 to 16:30 Monday to Friday.
The successful candidate will have good IT and communication skills. They will be motived, ambitious and willing to learn on the job and undertake future development. With the opportunity to undertake further training and upskilling including an apprenticeship (subject to business needs) whilst working as part of a team.
