We have an exciting opportunity for a Buildings and Facilities Supervisor, reporting to the Operations and Facilities Manager. This role will lead the semi-skilled reactive maintenance, triage and initial response to maintenance defects. Along with mandatory compliance within our residential buildings. Focusing on our Student Experience at the highest level. Main duties include, the day-to-day management and allocation of semi-skilled reactive maintenance response, planned preventative work, statutory compliance and record keeping, as well as assisting in a range of duties related to minor works and some larger projects.

Salary: Grade 6 from: £34,588 to £36,459 per annum inclusive of London Weighting with potential to progress to £39,144 per annum inclusive of London Weighting through sustained exceptional contribution. (Pro-rata for Part-time)

Estates and Facilities is a large and diverse service that supports staff and students across their academic life cycle with the addition of summer conference business. The Buildings and Facilities team consists of 12 semi-skilled maintenance staff, during the summer months this can increase by around 6-8 temporary staff along with contractors.
As a key member of the Estates and Facilities Buildings Team, we will ensure you have significant opportunities to develop your leadership skills and other self-development prospects. Whilst we shape the service delivery of key services in a future-focused Estates and Facilities team that is committed to providing an outstanding experience to all our students.
The ideal candidate will have trade/maintenance knowledge and experience, preferably recognised qualifications. A good working knowledge of the Planon CAFM system would be advantageous. Ability to communicate positively and work in a small, busy team is essential.
