Applications from suitably qualified and well-motivated individuals are invited for the 3 year fixed term position of Administrator at BCAST which is the home of the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) Future LiME Hub. The successful candidate will join a small administration team and will provide high level, effective and efficient administration in support of the dynamic and expanding research centre BCAST, in particular the EPSRC Liquid Metal Engineering Hub project. The post holder will provide a full range of general administrative and communications support to the Director of BCAST and BCAST Management, Academics and Research Staff as well as the LiME hub.
BCAST is a speciality research centre focusing on solidification related research with an international reputation. BCAST is well equipped with state-of-the-art facilities for both solidification processing and materials characterisation. See www.brunel.ac.uk/BCAST for more information. Both the AMCC & AMPC buildings form a new state of the art scale up facility that bridges the gap between fundamental research and full scale industrialisation and is aimed at meeting the short, medium and long term needs of the automotive industry.
The successful candidate should ideally have at least a first degree or evidence of relevant professional experience and ongoing development. He/she should have excellent skills in interpersonal communications, oral and written communications and organising events. Experience of updating websites and extensive experience of utilising social media for business purposes would be an advantage. In addition, he/she is expected to travel in the UK when necessary.
