Academic Placement and Partnerships Officer - 16678
We are seeking a confident, organised and experienced individual to join our team as an Academic Placement and Partnerships Officer, supporting the organisation and placement of students across a range of Healthcare Organisations and Schools. You will be engaging with external placement providers and teaching staff across the Department of Education, Department of Health Sciences, and Brunel Medical School to support placement activity for both our undergraduate, postgraduate and apprenticeship students.
The purpose of the role is to deliver excellent operational support that would provide a positive learning experience to our students prior to, during and following their off- campus placement activities. The role involves building and sustaining effective relationships with placement providers, negotiating and influencing as needed to ensure high-quality placement opportunities.
Location: Brunel University of London, Uxbridge Campus
Salary: Grade 6: £34,145 to £38,638 inclusive of London Weighting with potential to progress to £40,757 per annum inclusive of London Weighting through sustained exceptional contribution. (Pro Rata if Part Time)
Contract type: Permanent
Hours: Part-time (17.5 hours a week)

Prospective candidates should possess significant administrative and operations-based experience which may include planning, co-ordination and customer service responsibilities, working as part of a team and demonstrating initiative to resolve problems. A background in Higher Education is not necessarily required, however, an understanding of complex processes and experience of process re-design, evidence of successful stakeholder management and a positive approach to customer service are essential.
We are looking for candidates who can successfully demonstrate:
- The ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent IT and technical skills across a broad range of packages
- A demonstrable track record of providing a high-quality administrative support service, obtained from any industry or sector
- Excellent organisation, time keeping and team working skills
- Strong communication skills, alongside the ability to converse on complex subjects with a wide variety of stakeholders
- The ability to prioritise your own workload under minimum supervision
- Demonstrable evidence of CPD
